Cold Box Resin 501 * The recommended purification time is 2 to 3 times of the curing time to reduce the residual triethylamine in sand core and improve working environment.

Product Usage

*Product usage introduction

1. Adding ratio of resin and catalyst The amount of resin added: Component I: 0.3%~1.0% (accounting for the weight of the sand), component II: 0.3%~1.0% (accounting for the weight of the sand). The ratio of the two components is adjustable between (55~50): (45~50); Component Ⅰis high, the sand core has high initial strength and small gas generation;Component Ⅱ is high, the core sand can be used for a long time,high final strength,good demoulding effect,large pouring smoke and gas generation,bright carbon and pore defects in castings increased risk; Catalyst dosage:Usually 0.5~1.5kg/ton of sand.The factors that affect the catalyst dosage include: equipment, molds, sand core size and shape, sand temperature, and ambient temperature. Generally, the dosage of catalyst is the smallest in summer and the largest in winter.

2. Sand mixing process If a gap type sand mixer is used, different types of sand mixing equipment have different sand mixing times. Adjust the sand mixing time recommended by the equipment manufacturer to ensure that the resin is evenly mixed as a standard; The order of adding resin: first add component I resin, mix it with sand for a few seconds, then add component II resin, mix the sand evenly and use it as soon as possible; Control the amount of mixed sand according to the size of the sand core. The mixed core sand must be used up within the usable time. It is recommended that the use time be no more than 1 hour; Taking into account the influence of resin viscosity and sand temperature, it is recommended that the sand mixing time be extended by 15%-50% during the low temperature season in winter compared with summer.
